Job Title: Retail Operations Manager
Reports to: National Retail Manager
 

 

Position Summary

 

ECCO is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to support our business in Canada. This position requires an individual to be extremely organized, have a keen attention to detail and the flexibility to work within different aspects of the business. This leadership role will require an independent thinker he/she will analyse key information related to the business and be focused on results. Ultimately, the ideal candidate will take initiative and act as a business partner for the National Retail Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 
  • Analyse performance metrics data and leverage it to effectively coach and develop the sales teams and district store managers to meet or exceed daily sales performance metrics.
  • Work closely with National Retail Manager to drive strategy.
  • Manage internal communication across different departments including but not limited to Marketing, Finance, IT, VM, Logistics, Demand planning and Retail.
  • Lead new operating systems implementations and execution in field including POS systems training and any additional operating systems in the field.
  • Lead or participate in cross functional meetings to accomplish objectives related to the Retail field.
  • Manage and execute on-going store and retail projects that require organizing, analyzing and publishing large volumes of data and material. (Store Maintenance, Manager Conferences etc.)
  • Manage the inventory schedule and conduct inventory counts partnering with finance and demand planning on a regular basis as mandated by the business.
  • Oversee and Retail Academy Training Program holding district sales managers accountable to ensure teams are fully engaged and achieving all levels of training.
  • Leader of retail operations for store procedures and processes ensuring communication and direction to store ensuring all manuals are produced and maintained.
  • Train DSMs on any retail operational items as required to enhance process efficiency.
  • Assist with new store openings and retail renovations
 

Minimum Qualifications:

 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 Years of Experience in the retail field.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office ( Excel, PowerPoint, Word ).
  • Strong Analytical skills to evaluate data and make operational decisions
  • Advanced writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strategic mindset
  • Independent, pro-active attitude, ‘can-do’ mentality
  • Eye for detail
  • Some travel required
